1.

1.

for most, it is a symbol of victory.
for her, it is a reminder of her first sweet love.
for him, it means to always be his best.

for now, to me it bring a rebirth.
How after every last number of a count, we go back to 1. For a whole new beginning. A new chapter of a life. A new episode. A fresh start for my readers..

My friends, family and I have been through memorable times in these past 3 months. Many have changed and some had stayed the same. How the world seems to be much simpler than we thought, and at the same time, how complex it can get, because of what we make it.

It doesn't always have to be a matter of black or white, right or wrong, but instead empathy and compassion, kindness and forgiveness.

A very inspiring movie,I'd watched last night. It kept me thinking, through the night, how to be as how he* had said, "..to exceed all expectations." Truly it is a challenge. One which will inspire. Not to motivate, but to inspire and unleash an inner strength in mankind, not known before.

Isn't that something..

:)

a little to think of..

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
-William Ernest Henley (1875)-

..a poem which had kept his* soul alive during his 27 years-stay in prison. :)

*Nelson Mandela (from a scene in "Invictus")
