i love to replay songs i love, again and again. :)
Obsession or Passion?
I think I am a person of both.
Wanting things so badly, I can go through it again and again if I want to.
It knocks me out of balance and sometimes I wonder, am i right for doing such?
Am I listening to my heart or am i actually conforming to what the society wants me to be?
Stella's always the lucky one,
Stells'a always the happy one,
Stella this.. Stella that..
Sometimes, I follow blindly and I lose myself in trying to chase after what "they" would like to see me as. I am a joker, I am a princess, I am the royal guard, I am the chariot driver.
One after another I just listen and follow.
Being obedient.
and i can see that it destroys my initiative-taking, leaving me with procrastination and self-denial.
Now now.. today will be the first day of the term and I have an Economics class at 10.30 this morning. So let's share a lovely short story I came across last night.
In a primary school,
they were having an
assignment for all the
students of the class.
That is, to list down
the 7 wonders
of the world.
This assignment is to be
passed up at the end of the day.
As the bell rang,
students rushed to pass up
their assignment
to the teacher
except for the little shy girl
who walks awkwardly
towards the teacher
and passed up her work,
being the last.
At home,
the teacher goes
through the papers
and analyzes
paper after paper.
The same answers
kept repeating itself,
1. Great Pyramid of Giza
2. Hanging Gardens of Babylon
3. The Great Wall of China
4.Taj Mahal
5. Colosseum
6.Petra
7.Maya Ruins
it was
all right of course...
but then
comes the last paper.
The paper
which the little shy girl
had passed up.
It writes,
1. Being able to see
2. Being able to hear
3. Being able to smell
4. Being able to taste
5. Being able to speak
6. Being able to care
7. Being able to love..

so you see, we don't have to travel across the globe to find wonderful things, we only need to appreciate what we are already have. :)
